25 - 26 Apr 2015 (Sat - Sun) @ penangpac
An arts festival inspired by and dedicated to our "also" black-and-white creature.
In end April 2014, we gathered a group of artists to celebrate WORLD TAPIR DAY (in which the main day falls on 27 April yearly) in Performing Arts Centre of Penang through the use of arts.
The event is not only to provide a platform for local artists to express their creativity, but more importantly to raise awareness of a vulnerable local animal: Malayan Tapir.
Through arts, we believe we can help locals especially young generations to get to know more about Malayan Tapir, by using adorable handicrafts, children’s theatre, storytelling and workshops, paintings and so on.
This year, we want to be financially able to invite more artists to join us, put up more fruitful workshops and storytelling sessions to benefit more children. We want all artists to be able to contribute their creative products with a promising sales in return hence we are crowd-funding to help them make the festival work.
